The work was born from research on the relationship between the city and the complex river system that determined its urban and social evolution. Rivers that intertwine, rivers that form swamps, rivers that disappear, unite, overflow, rivers that are said to arrive from afar only to die in the Adriatic Sea. The geographies narrated in the ancient river maps of the city contributed to the construction of the iconographic imagination. Faces, gestures, and landscapes taken from the photographic archives become testimonies to a past memory.
