Presentation of volume "The imperium and oblatio in the mosaics of Ravenna and Constantinople" is organised by the CIDM (International Mosaic Documentation Centre), with the support of the Fondazione del Monte.
The publication continues the series of volumes entitled mosaicoravenna.it edited by the International Mosaic Documentation Centre, published in 2007, focussing attention on a precise iconographic subject, the representation of political power through the most important figures in the mosaic decorations of Ravenna and Constantinople.
The volume contains descriptions of the works selected, all of which can be consulted in the mosaic databank of the CIDM and accessible at the site www.mosaicoravenna.it.
