A presentation will be given of the volume on the restoration work done on some of the mosaics in the ‘Parco della Pace’. The park is an exceptional and highly original permanent exhibition of mosaic works by contemporary artists from different countries. The works, produced and installed during and after 1984, were all inspired by the theme of peace. The restoration work necessary due mainly to the conditions to which the mosaics are constantly subjected was done under the supervision of the technical-scientific team of the Higher Education Institute for Mosaic Restoration which is connected with the Superintendency for Architectural Heritage and Landscape of Ravenna.
The publication would not have been possible without the cooperation of the Superintendency, the Municipality of Ravenna and the City Art Museum.
